BOWLING GREEN — In a season full of statement victories and high levels of execution, Bowling Green State University’s football team sent out, perhaps, its biggest message yet on Tuesday night at Doyt Perry Stadium.
The Falcons dominated defensively against the best offensive team in the Mid-American Conference, and the offense used an efficient span in the middle of the game after a scary injury to one of their players, to earn a 31-13 victory over Western Michigan in a battle of two of the four teams tied atop the league.
“It doesn’t matter who we’re playing; if we come out and play Bowling Green football, we’re going to be very hard to beat,” BGSU senior defensive lineman Anthony Hawkins said.
