Bowling Green State University’s football team got back to its early-season ways on Saturday, and it led to one of the biggest wins in the Scot Loeffler era.
The Falcons were balanced offensively, came up with huge plays defensively, and executed on special teams to take home the Battle of I-75 trophy with a 41-26 Mid-American Conference victory over Toledo in front of nearly 30,000 fans at the Glass Bowl.
“I was really happy about our team playing like we did Weeks 1, 2, and 3,” said Loeffler, referring to BGSU’s win over Fordham and narrow losses to ranked foes Penn State and Texas A&M to start the season.
