BOWLING GREEN — There hasn’t been much of a follow up from the team that pulled off the most improbable upset in this year’s college football season.
When Bowling Green State University defeated Minnesota on Sept. 25, the optics of the program changed. A years-long rebuild process felt like it was ahead of schedule, the morale of the club was at its highest point in years, and whispers began about Bowling Green potentially making some noise in the Mid-American Conference.
Looking back, that was all temporary.
One month removed from that monumental victory, all of those feelings and the perception around the program have reverted, especially following Saturday’s 55-24 loss to Eastern Michigan at Doyt Perry Stadium.
