BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University men’s basketball coach Michael Huger has been fired from his position.
Huger was informed this morning of the decision, sources with knowledge of the situation told The Blade. He had two years remaining on his contract.
An official announcement from the school will be released later Sunday morning.
BGSU finished 11-20 this season, including 5-13 in the Mid-American Conference. The Falcons lost 13 of their last 16 games and went through a nine-game losing streak, the longest since a 10-game skid in the 1971-72 season.
BGSU’s 11 wins were its fewest in a season since the 2005-06 team went 9-21.
