OXFORD, Ohio — Bowling Green set itself up to assert control of a conference game on the road from the very beginning Wednesday at Miami.
Sadly for the Falcons, opportunity greatly outweighed production.
Bowling Green forced two turnovers and possessed the ball inside Miami’s 40-yard line five times in the first half, yet turned its chances into a mere three points and paid handsomely.
The RedHawks had a four-touchdown lead by halftime, and the Falcons never came any closer in a 44-3 loss at Yager Stadium.
Bowling Green fell to 2-4 in the Mid-American Conference and 3-7 overall, which assures BG will finish with a losing record for the fourth straight season.
