BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University defensive coordinator Eric Lewis has been hired as the safeties coach and defensive passing game coordinator at Navy, according to a news release from the Naval Academy on Monday afternoon.
Lewis has spent the last three seasons coaching defensive backs at BGSU. He has been the defensive coordinator the last two years.
“I could not be more excited to become a part of this elite academy and football program,” Lewis said in the release. “I'm looking forward to working with some of our nation's best young men and working under coach [Brian] Newberry, who is so well respected in our profession.
