EMU won the games by scores of 8-0 and 10-8. The four-game Mid-American Conference series is being played at Steller Field at Gary Haas Stadium.
The Falcons drop to 11-16 in conference play with the pair of defeats. EMU moves to 9-14. The series will conclude on Saturday (May 8) with a 12:05 p.m. doubleheader.
The Falcons scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth in the night cap, and were able to bring the tying run to the on-deck circle.
