BOWLING GREEN — Travis Greene has been selected to play in the NLFPA Collegiate Bowl, giving the Bowling Green State University football team two players in the contest.
Greene, an All-Mid-American Conference first team pick after rushing for 1,299 yards and 15 touchdowns, will join quarterback Matt Johnson in the game at Cal State-Dominguez Hills on Jan. 23.
The 3 p.m. contest will be on by ESPN2. Practices will be on ESPNU on Jan. 20-21.
A third senior from this year’s team, offensive lineman Alex Huettel, will play in the East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St.
