KENT, Ohio — Kent State scored the first six points of the game and used a 23-3 first-quarter run Monday in disposing of the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team 86-62 in the first round of the Mid-American Conference women’s basketball tournament at the M.A.C. Center.
With the victory, the fifth-seeded Golden Flashes (19-11) will take on No. 4 seed Buffalo in a quarterfinal round game Wednesday afternoon at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. The time is to be determined.
The 12th-seeded Falcons finish the season with a 9-21 mark.
Asiah Dingle led five Kent State players in double figures with 25 points, adding six assists.
