BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team will play in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
After losing in the Mid-American Conference tournament championship game, the Falcons (20-6) had to await their postseason fate.
On Monday night, the team learned it did not make the NCAA tournament field.
However, the Falcons did earn an automatic invitation to the 32-team WNIT field.
BG's opponent, date, and time have not yet been announced.
Bowling Green last appeared in the WNIT in 2014. It was the third straight year the Falcons competed in the WNIT.
