BOWLING GREEN — In its first game at the Stroh Center since Nov. 20, Bowling Green held strong against a fourth-quarter comeback from Detroit Mercy to walk away with a 79-73 win.
Even though the final score was close, the Falcons (5-4) never trailed and led by as many as 18 in the second half before the Titans (2-8) rebounded in the final 10 minutes.
The Falcons are now 5-0 at home this season.
What happened: The Falcons opened the game on a 16-2 run and forced Detroit Mercy to burn two timeouts within the first five minutes.
