BG saw few bright spots against Buckeyes

COLUMBUS — If fans of the Bowling Green State University football team are looking for bright spots following the Falcons 77-10 drubbing at the hands of No. 6 Ohio State, perhaps there was one.

Brandon Harris stepped in front of a J.T. Barrett pass and returned it 63 yards, a pick-six interception that gave the Falcons an early 7-0 advantage.

What happened after that?

“We made them mad,” BG coach Mike Jinks said.

Point taken. From that point the Buckeyes manhandled the Falcons on both sides of the ball. Ohio State rolled to 776 yards of total offense and scored on 11 of the 13 possessions, while the Bowling Green offense had just 244 yards of total offense and managed only a field goal.
