BG men's basketball expects to sign 4 prep stars

BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University men’s basketball coach Michael Huger expects to increase the depth in his program, especially in the post position, with four newcomers to his program for the 2017-18 season.

The Falcons expect to sign four players in the early signing period, which begins Nov. 9.

The four players expected to join BG’s program next fall are Derek Koch, a 6-8 forward from Northwestern High School in West Salem, Ohio; Daeqwon Plowden, a 6-5 swingman from Mastery Charter North School in Philadelphia; Joniya Gadson, a 6-9 center from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Dillard High School; and Renell “Nelly” Cummings, a 5-11 point guard from Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School in Midland, Pa.
