BG hockey uses 3-goal 3rd to win Thursday

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Bowling Green State University used a pair of third-period goals roughly three minutes apart to claim a 5-2 victory over Anchorage in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest at Sullivan Arena late Thursday night.

BG’s Lukas Craggs broke a 2-2 tie with his goal at the 11:07 mark of the final period, and Stephen Baylis found the back of the net at 14:38 of the third. Craggs added an empty-net goal at 19:03 of the period to give the Falcons their sixth win in seven games.

No. 14 Bowling Green improved to 18-9-6 overall and 15-5-5-2 in the WCHA, while the Seawolves fell to 2-25-4 overall and 2-20-3 in the league with their ninth straight loss.
