BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green surrendered three quick goals in the third period to Alabama-Huntsville and lost the opening game of the two-game series 4-2 Friday at Slater Family Ice Arena.
The loss likely will be a costly one for No. 15 Bowling Green (20-9-4) as Huntsville (8-25-2) came into the game ranked 58th out of 60 Division I in the PairWise rankings.
Due to Northern Michigan’s win on Friday, the Falcons dropped to third place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association with one game to go.
“As all of us have seen with this team, it’s really, really inconsistent,” BG coach Chris Bergeron said.
