BOWLING GREEN – Visiting Michigan Tech shut out Bowling Green State University for the first time this season, claiming a 4-0 win over the Falcons in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest at the Slater Family Ice Arena Saturday.
The Falcons split the weekend series after winning Friday’s contest by a 7-2 score.
It also marked the Huskies’ first victory over BG this season after the Falcons claimed a win and a tie in a series at Houghton, Mich., Nov. 3-4, then beat the Huskies 4-1 in the championship game of the Great Lakes Invitational Jan. 2.
