MARQUETTE, Mich. – Bowling Green State University surrendered four power-play goals in a 5-2 loss in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest at Northern Michigan Friday.
The Wildcats scored two man-advantage goals in each of the first two periods to roll to the victory that gives them a tie with the Falcons for second place in the WCHA standings with 34 points apiece.
Brett D’Andrea and Mitch McLain each scored a goal for No. 14 Bowling Green, which fell to 12-7-6 overall and 9-3-5-2 in league play.
Northern Michigan (12-10-3, 10-5-2-2 WCHA) got two power-play goals from Troy Loggins as well as power-play goals from Joseph Nardi and Darien Craighead along with an even-strength goal from Denver Pierce.
