BOWLING GREEN – Bowling Green State University hockey coach Chris Bergeron wanted his team to be “angry” when it played Anchorage at the Slater Family Ice Arena Friday.
Bergeron got his wish.
“We were focused and hungry, and for the most part we were relentless,” he said after his team’s 6-2 victory. “That spells angry.”
The Falcons scored three goals in the first 10 minutes of Friday’s victory and will look to complete a sweep when the two teams play Saturday starting at 7:07 p.m.
“We got some momentum in the building and were excited to play,” senior captain Mitch McLain said of the team’s fast start.
