MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Bowling Green State University hockey team fell 1-0 in a shootout to Northern Michigan on Saturday.
The action was fast and there were plenty of chances, but both goalkeepers stood tall in keeping the game scoreless through three periods of regulation and overtime.
Both goalies were strong again in the shootout as Northern Michigan’s Brandon Schultz was the lone scorer in the shootout.
“We can start with how well Eric Dop played, he was outstanding tonight,” BG coach Ty Eigner siad. “We had some real good opportunities during the first 60 minutes and overtime, but could not cash in.
