ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Tyler Spezia’s third-period goal lifted Bowling Green State University to a 2-1 win over Alaska-Anchorage in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest played at the Sullivan Center late Friday night.
The win completed a two-game sweep for the Falcons, who knocked off Anchorage by a 5-2 score on Thursday.
Bowling Green, ranked No. 14 nationally entering the two-game series, improved to 19-9-6 overall and now have 55 points in WCHA play thanks to a 16-5-5-2 league record. With the victory, the Falcons can finish no lower than third in the final standings.
