HOUGHTON, Mich. — Gavin Gould scored the game-winning goal at the 6:47 mark of the third period Friday as the Michigan Tech Huskies beat the Bowling Green State University ice hockey team 2-0 in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game at MacInnes Student Ice Arena.
The Falcons (14-5-3, 9-4-2-2 WCHA), ranked No. 10 in the latest USCHO.com Division I poll, 12th in the USA Today poll, and 14th in the Pairwise rankings, were outshot 30-27 and were 0-for-3 on the power play.
Gould’s goal put the Huskies (11-10-2, 10-4-1-1) up early in the third, then Justin Misiak scored with 9:47 left.
