The Falcon baseball team split its series against the Southeast Missouri Redhawks, winning the first game of a Sunday doubleheader 5-2 before falling in the second game 9-7. The team also lost 8-4 on Saturday, but won 9-7 on Friday.
“It’s tough when we were so close to doing what we came here to do,” Falcons head coach Danny Schmitz said, “but there were certainly a lot of positives throughout the weekend that we can build off of.”
The first game of Sunday’s doubleheader would only be a seven inning game, which began with a two run home run from junior outfielder Jeff Scott in the first.
