The Falcon baseball team fell in its series against the Miami RedHawks, losing 8-5 on Sunday afternoon and winning 10-9 on Saturday afternoon, but losing 7-0 on Friday afternoon. This was the team’s first series loss against a conference opponent this season.
On Sunday, Miami took the lead first with an RBI single in the third inning, followed by a fourth inning that saw Miami score five runs. They had an RBI hit by pitch with the bases loaded and three bases loaded walks, followed by an RBI single. The Falcons were able to get back a couple of runs in the fifth, as junior infielder Neil Lambert got an RBI triple and junior outfielder Ty Suntken had an RBI single, followed by an RBI single from senior infielder Derek Drewes.
