BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) announced the recipients of the December Players of the Month Thursday afternoon (Jan. 2). Of those named, sophomore Alex Barber was recognized as the Forward of the Month, being the first time in his career he has received the honor. In the month of December, Barber led the Falcons in points, tallying seven over the five games. In two of the games, Barber tallied multiple points, including a four-point effort to begin the month against Alabama Huntsville.
A native of Dublin, Ohio, Barber propelled the Falcons during December with two power play goals and one short-handed goal over the five games.
