COLUMBUS — There’s a reason why Ohio State is the No. 19-ranked men’s basketball team in the country, and the Bowling Green State University Falcons found out why on Monday.
There was no Akron-esque scare for Ohio State against its second Mid-American Conference foe of the season. The Buckeyes played pristine, lock-down defense in the first half, boomed to a 41-18 lead at the midpoint, and drubbed the ailing Falcons 89-58 at the Schottenstein Center.
Bowling Green (1-2) played without four players on Monday. Kaden Metheny missed his second straight game with an injury. He was wearing a walking boot on his right foot and did not dress.
