MOREHEAD, Ky. — A strong first half lifted the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team to a 76-61 nonconference victory over Morehead State on Saturday at Ellis T. Johnson Arena.
Kadie Hempfling tallied a double-double in the first half, and BGSU (5-1) outpaced the Eagles 39-23 in the game’s first 20 minutes. Hempfling had 11 points and 11 rebounds by halftime.
Lexi Fleming finished with 18 points — 13 from a 5-for-7 shooting mark in the second half — for the Falcons. She also collected seven rebounds and five steals.
Five Falcons finished in double figures.
