BOWLING GREEN — A banged-up Bowling Green State University wide receiver room has gotten a nice boost from a new face early this season in Malcolm Johnson, Jr.
The way Falcons’ coach Scot Loeffler sees it, the Auburn transfer should only get better as the year goes on.
In two games with BGSU, Johnson has nearly matched his receiving totals from 29 contests in four seasons at Auburn. A career performance in the Falcons’ 34-27 loss at No. 8 Penn State on Saturday came after setting his top collegiate mark in receptions the previous week in a home win over Fordham.
