BOWLING GREEN — Attorney Tom Mars said Bowling Green quarterback Matt McDonald is just the latest example of why the NCAA’s waiver process is in need of a major overhaul.
On Friday, the NCAA issued a denial of McDonald’s waiver appeal to be eligible this season after transferring from Boston College.
After Bowling Green’s game at Kansas State, Falcons coach Scot Loeffler said, “there’s got to be a better way,” to go through the process of transferring.
Mars, the attorney who represented, among others, Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson and Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields during their waiver claims, agreed.
