BOWLING GREEN — In the true spirit of 2020, Bowling Green's plans for this week and the actual reality was not exactly a fair trade.
The Falcons initially would have been preparing for the challenge of a lifetime: a two-hour bus ride southeast with a top-five team and 107,000-plus hostile onlookers awaiting their arrival for the season-opening game, originally scheduled for Saturday at Ohio State.
Instead, Bowling Green's week was a preview of a much different fall season. The practices at Doyt Perry Stadium are now half-speed with no pads, preparing for games that might or might not happen in the spring.
