BOWLING GREEN — D.J. Newman has a pretty unique perspective whenever — and wherever — he takes the field for Bowling Green State University’s baseball team.
The Falcons’ freshman and former three-sport All-Ohioan at Archbold High School knows what to expect when he’s on the mound and at the plate.
“When I’m on the mound, I try to picture myself hitting, so like what pitch does he not want to have because I’m thinking I’m a hitter too,” Newman said. “So if I don’t want a curveball, I’ll be like all right, I’ll throw him a curveball.
