BOWLING GREEN — It is no secret that losing usually leads to change in college football, but Sunday was nonetheless a shocking day for Bowling Green’s players.
The program fired head coach Mike Jinks with the season in progress, a drastic change of course that had a profound effect on the team.
“I think people kind of saw it coming at some point, maybe, just because we haven’t been getting the job done, haven’t been winning, and everyone knows in college football you have to win games,” Falcons receiver Scott Miller said. “But for it to happen in the middle of the season, it really shocked the players and really came by surprise.
