BOWLING GREEN — Following weeks of will-they-or-won't-they speculation regarding the fall football season, the Mid-American Conference made its decision after a whirlwind two-day window last week.
Bowling Green State University, along with its 11 peers as full members of the MAC, opted against playing football and other fall sports as planned amid the coronavirus pandemic, becoming the first Bowl Subdivision league to do so.
The Falcons implemented a number of new policies and procedures — including moving the entire weight room to a new facility and bringing back football players in three waves that were tested upon entry — to even resume conditioning in the lead-up to its planned start of training camp.
