BOWLING GREEN — The past two months ran the emotional gamut for football players in the Mid-American Conference.
At Bowling Green, the Falcons were a day away from training camp on Aug. 6 when the season began to unravel. First, it was a delay of camp after a MAC presidents meeting did not lead to a vote, followed by an outright postponement of the season two days later due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Over time, however, things changed quickly in the MAC and for Bowling Green. All four NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision leagues that originally delayed play changed course and chose to play in the fall, including the MAC.
