After a 6-point Series, Pohlkamp Named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week

Original Series EDINA, Minn. – After sweeping Ferris State in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs, senior forward Matt Pohlkamp has been named Western Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week.

A native of Baxter, Minn., Pohlkamp marked a team-leading six-point series in the weekend's two playoffs games. On Friday night, Pohlkamp opened the scoring just 6:46 in by picking up a rebound in the crease, and scored his second of the night 2:58 into the second frame to extend the Falcons lead to 3-1. Pohlkamp also went on to assist on senior captain Sean Walker's 10th of the season just 52 seconds later, as well as on freshman Alec Rauhauser's goal that came at 5:49.
