Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are soccer players Ebenezer Ackon and Nikki Cox.
Male Athlete of the Week
Ebenezer Ackon, a senior from Cape Coast, Ghana, scored a pair of goals just 75 seconds apart in the Falcons' lone match of the week, a 3-2 loss to Northern Kentucky. He headed home a Tate Robertson cross with 4:27 left in the second half, then got his head on a Robertson corner kick with 3:12 on the clock.
