CHICAGO — Former Clay High School and Bowling Green State University standout Kate Achter was named head women’s basketball coach Tuesday at Loyola University Chicago.
Achter takes over the Ramblers after one season at Xavier University, where she was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
“Kate Achter is one of the rising stars in college basketball, and we are all thrilled to have her as our new head women’s basketball coach,” said Loyola athletic director Steve Watson, who is a BGSU graduate. “During her time both on and off the court, she has experienced nothing but success as a coach and player.
