BOWLING GREEN — This has moved so quickly for Demajeo Wiggins.
It wasn’t so long ago that the under-the-radar basketball prospect was a 17-year-old finishing his time at Springfield High School.
Now, four years later, Wiggins is in the company of Bowling Green State University’s elite basketball players. Last month, Wiggins became just the third player in BGSU men’s history to score 1,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds, joining Cornelius Cash and Nate Thurmond.
For all that has changed for Wiggins during his time at BGSU, his bond with his mother remains central to his life, the one thing that always has remained consistent.
