Bowling Green looked lifeless last Saturday against Buffalo, floundering during a 38-7 loss. Saturday was a different story: Bowling Green took an early lead against Miami, kept the Redhawks within its sights, and held on for its third win of the season.

Senior quarterback Matt McDonald wasn’t himself for much of the afternoon, and his final line reflected it — he completed just 16 of his 29 passes for 149 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception.
