BOWLING GREEN — Mid-American Conference play got off to a rough start for Bowling Green State University on Saturday with a 38-7 loss to East Division favorite Ohio.
Penalties and turnovers haunted BGSU (1-3) from the opening minute of the game; the Falcons had 12 accepted penalties for 123 yards — several players were ejected — and Ohio (3-1) scored 21 points off of four Falcons’ turnovers.
BGSU, however, had some noteworthy individual accomplishments, and a couple of their top players inched closer to career milestones.
