BOWLING GREEN — In a roller coaster of a second period on Friday at the Slater Family Ice Arena, it was apparent that Ferris State could not get out of its own way.
That remained true, up until the final minute.
The Bulldogs scored three goals in a span of 50.5 seconds, flustering a Bowling Green State University team that had just scored two power-play goals less than two minutes apart. The result after the chaos quelled was a 5-3 Bulldogs lead after two periods, which turned into a 6-3 victory for the Central Collegiate Hockey Association visitors over the Falcons.
