It was a story of two halves as Bowling Green welcomed Big Ten foe Maryland to Doyt Perry Stadium on Saturday. BGSU moved the ball enough to take a 14-10 lead into halftime, but Maryland ran all over the Falcons in the second half on the way to a 45-14 win. Here are three takeaways from the game.
u25a0 The Falcons’ biggest area of concern was plainly obvious Saturday. Though BG won’t face much of Maryland’s style of power running in MAC play, the Falcons need to find answers with their run defense. BG was bludgeoned up front, and losing the line of scrimmage on a regular basis can make for a long year.
