BOWLING GREEN — The offseason for Bowling Green State University’s football team has already gotten off to a newsworthy start since a loss to New Mexico State in the Quick Lane Bowl on Dec. 26.
The departures via the transfer portal and the loss of defensive coordinator Eric Lewis, who took over as the safeties coach at Navy, have been a big reason why.
The Falcons, who went 6-7 in 2022 and reached their first bowl game since 2015, will have a lot of shoes to fill if they want to build off their best season in seven years.
