DEKALB, Ill. — The Bowling Green women’s basketball team outscored Northern Illinois 21-3 in a decisive second quarter and held on to win 58-43 on Wednesday night.
The Falcons (6-9, 2-4) got 15 points and 10 rebounds from Lauren Tibbs.
Kennedy Kirkpatrick had 10 points and six rebounds.
Mikayla Voigt had 10 points to pace Northern Illinois (8-9, 1-5).
Bowling Green shot just 36.4 percent from the field but held the Huskies to 26.7 percent for the game.
The Falcons made nine 3-pointers and outrebounded Northern Illinois 51-38.
Bowling Green returns home to take on Kent State on Saturday.
