Andros Townsend says Crystal Palace players were 'delighted' to resume contact training but admitted there was an initial reluctance to get too near each other.
Premier League clubs approved the move in Monday's meeting before announcing that matches will resume on June 17 after the coronavirus pandemic suspended the league in March.
Palace will take on Bournemouth the following weekend and Townsend said he is ready for the hard work before the action returns.
