Wolves could 'replace Julen Lopetegui with Gary O'Neil' if their Spanish coach walks out

Wolves will reportedly consider appointing former Bournemouth manager Gary O'Neil if Julen Lopetegui departs.

The Spaniard rescued the beleagured Midlands outfit last season and guided them from bottom to 13th in the Premier League but could walk out as dawn breaks on a new campaign.

The 56-year-old has appeared discontent at the club this summer, admitting he has 'no control' over their transfer plans while claiming that they 'need more players'.

Back in May, he said there were some 'Financial Fair Play problems I didn't know before' and despite staying on, he has grown frustrated at their trimmed-back approach to the transfer market.
