Lyon have not enquired about a deal for Bournemouth outcast Max Gradel – which could clear the way for Hull City to sign him.
The Ivorian wants to leave the Cherries after seemingly falling out of favour with manager Eddie Howe.
Reports have suggested that Lyon and Hull are currently leading the way to land Gradel, who only signed a new four-year deal in July, before the close of the window.
However. L'Equipe have reported that the French club have so far not inquired about the 28-year-old, which come as good news for Hull.
