10. Roger East not awarding Bournemouth a penalty against Stoke
If we start including individual officiating mistakes, then the internet may run out of space. However, this one is notable not only because it was a fairly obvious error, but also because the erroneous official not only acknowledged, but apologised for his mistake. During the 1-1 draw between Stoke and Bournemouth in November, Callum Wilson was taken out in the penalty area by Ryan Shawcross, but referee Roger East decided that no offence had been committed.
