Friday night's Championship fixture between Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest has been called off after Storm Eunice battered England's south coast.
The crucial meeting of the second-placed Cherries and play-off chasing Forest was postponed just hours before the scheduled 7.45pm kick-off.
Forest were understood to be furious at the late decision having already made their journey down to Dorset on Thursday night.
They pressed for Bournemouth and the authorities to make a decision by Friday morning at the latest but the postponement was only confirmed in the afternoon.
The Daily Telegraph reported that Forest were willing to rearrange the fixture for Saturday morning but Bournemouth declined the offer.
