Sunderland boss David Moyes looking for lucky omens as Black Cats bid to turn tide against Bournemouth

David Moyes is clinging to the hope that a trip to Bournemouth could prove a lucky omen in his bid to win a first Premier League match with Sunderland.

The Black Cats are already eight points adrift of safety having made the worst 10-game start in Premier League history.

But Moyes remembers a similar situation during his first job in management at Preston North End in 1998.
