Chris Wilder has informed the Sheffield United squad that he is leaving the club.
Sportsmail understands that Wilder has said his goodbyes to the the squad ahead of official confirmation of his departure.
Former Bournemouth boss Jason Tindall is a candidate to replace Wilder as manager, while Sheffield United are also looking to bring in a director of football.


Tindall could be appointed on a deal until the end of the season which would see him work alongside Paul Heckingbottom, Sheffield United's Under-23 boss.
